Hi LM ‘Berth holders’

The BHA has been inactive for the past one and three quarter years owing to the lack of a committee structure.

Most of the old committee are no longer berthed at LM.

The old Treasurer has acted as caretaker for the association funds held in the BHA bank account. She has also sold her vessel.

Despite hopes that new volunteers would come forward to form a new committee, none have come forward. With regret the old committee recommend the only course of action, which is dissolution with funds to be donated to RNLI in accordance with the Articles of Association.

The intended date of dissolution is 22.10.2017

Please use ’reply’ by 15th October and indicate your approval with a YES or disapproval with a NO.

No response will be understood to be a vote in favour of dissolution and donation to the RNLI.

Hi Berth-holders and Members,

As I previously advised the Berth Holders Association would be unable to continue owing to the lack of committee member volunteers.  As a consequence, no events were arranged during 2016, regular meetings of the committee and with LM management could not take place, Discounts(LMBHA Advantage) previously enjoyed by full members could not be negotiated with LM management.

The Berth- Holders association is now inactive and sleeping, but we retain the hope that some of you will be able to volunteer to serve on the committee. If you feel able to do so please contact Secretary@lmbha.org.uk

We desperately wish to avoid dissolution of the LMBHA.

Hi Members,

Our  Grand Christmas Dinner on the 5th December at the ‘Oyster Catcher’ Public House/Restaurant located at Climping was fully subscribed and a huge success.

It was my pleasure to meet so many of you.

As in previous years Jane Somner arranged the entire evening to perfection - thank you Jane and also our treasurer Kate Claisse.

Regards

Rod Fletcher

Committee member volunteers needed to avoid dissolution of Berth Holder Association

Hi Members,

Malcolm and Jane Somner  resigned from the LMBHA. Similarly, Alan Wilson hass selling his boat and moving to York.

I am sure you will join me with a hearty thank you and best wishes to these Committee members  following many years of invaluable contribution to the management committee.

I have  moved to Cornwall althogh my Boat Excel is awaiting transportation to Plymouth

As a result, the association desperately require volunteers from our membership to reform the committee, without which we cannot continue to manage the Berth holders Association in its present form.

We need  volunteers one of whom undertaking the Secretaries duties or Secretary/Chairman’s duties combined.

In a nutshell, the Committee meet at least twice a year in a social atmosphere plus an AGM in each February.

The Chairman guides any meetings and the Secretary holds membership details and emails members when necessary.

The committee have been obliged to consider calling a Special Meeting (EGM) to dissolve the LMBHA.

We desperately wish to avoid this action and hope volunteers will be forthcoming in order that  our longstanding BHA may continue within our boating community at LM.

Please email me should you have any questions about the committee’s duties.

An AGM should be held in February 2016
